We’re at a crossroads. On one hand we’ve still got a lot of development left – as we said at the start of Early Access, we wanted to make it 12-15 months long. It’s been almost 5 now, so we could say we’re third of the way there, so let’s recap a bit:
We’ve added a new game mode (and currently testing the second one), new weapons, new outfits, new vehicles (including a Combat Heli Drone – available on PTE right now), 3 new TDM maps, made the game run at least twice as fast and load more than 80% faster. We’ve fixed thousands of bugs and crashes and are really proud of the amount of changes we made.
This is all in big part thanks to our dedicated community, we’re in constant contact with our forum users, Discord members and other social media: Twitter, VK and Facebook. We’re listening to you and reading your feedback even if we don’t have time to respond to everything. Thank you for being passionate and helping us steer in the right direction.
Now, when you add features to a game, things break – which is par for the course when it comes to Early Access titles, and we knew this is going to happen, but we noticed not everyone is happy with this. This is why we’ve decided to ask our community: what should we focus on?
- Slow down, fix bugs and optimize
- Keep going fast and unstable
First way is going to slow down updates, but result in more stable and reliable game until we reach 1.0.
Second way is making sure we develop content and features as fast as possible, but also doesn’t give us a lot of time for polishing and bug fixing – those would be done at the end.
We’ve prepared a few places for you to vote on this and we’ll see what our players want:
We will be adding all those results together and letting you know in the next week’s report along with our thoughts on them.
And one more thing: if you feel like something is important and should be improved or changed, please let us know – we are listening!
See you next week!
